( heather had been obsessively hearing the feed for any sign of her dad still being around this prison they were forced into, but each day proved he truly was gone forever. his kind words, being able to have closer with him was genuinely healing and she isn't ungrateful about that.
she really just wishes he were here with her, helping her like he said he would. they were going to be a team after all.

( heather is almost quick and quite confident in calling this girl out for such a silly statement. still it couldn't hurt to make some allies and friends in this strange place, she certainly needed to keep her head above water.

while heather began to walk around wondering if it was direct and obvious, or some kind of bizarre riddle [as in she is somehow between floors, aka the middle of them], she only made a few sounds audible through the speaker. the sound of her feet against the floor, a soft breath, and soon she was walking around the very last floor she was on. )

( she managed to say, as the sounds of her footsteps went through the line. she was getting closer, but she was a bit confused. in hindsight, heather probably shouldn't have tried this when she was still so new to this....prison. )
Sharks are misunderstood by the way. They're only dangerous in our understanding of what they can do, but they never really do try to kill us. They take one chomp, realize we're humans, and swim away.
[ the next time jinx speaks, her voice comes in doubles—through the walkie and somewhere in person. she is definitely getting close, in fact, she might even see her with the second floor having less people around this time. maybe the person she's chatting with is that person who is lying on the rocky floors with her legs prop up against the wall. ]

( the echo came through both the walkie talkie and her general vicinity; it wasn't hard now to find the blue-haired minx rocking her legs up against a rock. heather was actually surprised she had never run into her before, but then again this place was a chaotic and disorganized mess from what she saw.
she really was just trying her best to survive here after all. once she found her, she kicked a small pebble at her, turning off the device for now. )
