I have never snored.
When I do sleep I am extremely quiet and alert.

There are countless things wrong with resting.
It would take mere moments for one to take advantage of you letting your guard down to kill you.
Sleep deeply enough, and capture whilst ensuring you cannot defend yourself is simple enough.
